Walden Middle and High Schools Accepting Applications
Parents interested in sending their student(s) to Walden can find applications on the school's website or at the school's main office.
Parents who are interested in having their student(s) attend Walden III as either a middle or high school student have until Dec. 16 to submit an application.
Applications are available through the school's website or at Walden's main office, 1012 Center Street, and must be turned in by Dec. 16 to allow enough time to schedule shadow visits.
During a shadow visit, prospective students tag along for a day with a current student to get a feel for how a day at Walden typically goes.
Walden students' ACT scores lead the district overall last year, going up from 22.4 in 2011 to 23.1 in 2012. The state average was 22.1, and the national average was 20.9.
Applicant parents should also pay attention to 6:30 p.m. on either Jan. 7 or 9 for a mandatory meeting
