Developer Pitches Swanky Senior Living Community In Mount Pleasant

Primrose Retirement Communities, a developer that builds high-end retirement communities, eyes a Mount Pleasant location.

A high-end senior living retirement community might be on the horizon in Mount Pleasant, according to the Journal Times.

The plan was presented by Primrose Retirement Communities and includes 84-units, which, if approved, would be located on Neumann Road not far from Peace Lutheran Church.

The company will provide unique, “higher-end” amenities including a movie theater, pub, pool hall, walking trails and more, according to Mount Pleasant Community Development Coordinator Logan Martin.

Mount Pleasant Community Development Coordinator Logan Martin told trustees at the Jan. 14 board meeting the Primrose development will make a nice addition to the community.

"There's not anything like it currently in the area, and will make nice addition in the community," he said. "This is a for-profit development so it will generate revenue through property taxes."
