UPDATE: Racine Shooting Victim Dies, Homicide Suspect Found

A 44-year-old woman was shot several times in Racine Wednesday night, but she died yesterday and a suspect is in custody.

UPDATE PER THE RACINE POLICE: Shooting victim Lucinda White, 44, of Racine, died at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at Froedtert Hospital.

She was shot several times in the 600 block of 6th Street in Racine at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.

This incident is now considered a homicide.

The person of interest reference this incident was taken into custody this afternoon, without incident, in Millersville Tennessee. The Racine Police Department is no longer searching for the 2001 GMC Yukon Wisconsin license plate 591-EPJ or the 2011 Chevy Camaro Wisconsin license plate 700-UDY.

No further information will be released at this time.
