Mount Pleasant Police Search for Man Who Smashed Bar Windows
After fighting with another patron at the Cham Tap, the man was kicked out.
Police are looking for a man suspected of using a gutter and his fists to smash out the windows at the Cham Tap bar. The damage is estimated at $1,000.
According to a writte release, the man is described as white, six feet tall with a shaved head. He reportedly entered the bar at 2511 Durand Avenue with three others; two female and one male companions. After having one drink, the suspect allegedly got into a fight with another patron at the bar.
The suspect was kicked out, but the fight continued, moving outside to the parking lot. At some point, the suspect grabbed a gutter and used it, plus his fists, to smash out three windows of the Cham Tap.

Before officers arrived, though, he was seen getting into a white Escort and driving away.
The matter remains under investigation.
