Mount Pleasant Crime Corner: Shoplifting, Burglary and a Missing Cell Phone

Police Reports from March 17 to March 21.

Mount Pleasant police were called for a variety of reasons in the last few days; from shoplifting at local retailers to the more serious possibility of a sexual assault.

March 17, 2011

  • A 24-year-old woman and two, 18-year-old women were taken into custody for allegedly shoplifting from WalMart, 3049 S. Oakes Road.
  • Money was reported stolen from a purse at a residence in the 2100 block of Frankie Place.
  • A cell phone worth $120 was reported stolen from a student's locker at J.I. Case High School, 7345 Washington Avenue.

  • Police received a call about a theft from a vehicle in the 5700 block of Emstan Hills Road.
  • A hit-and-run was reported in the 3800 block of Sheridan Road.
