Law Enforcement Lunch Nets Over $4,000 for Special Olympics

Area law enforcement officers - including Mount Pleasant's K-9 Officer Bones - gave great service for the annual Guardians of the Flame lunch for Special Olympics.

Congratulations to Special Olympics for raising over $8,000 Monday - half of that here in Racine County - during their annual Guardians of the Flame lunch to benefit local Special Olympics athletes.

Local law enforcement and fire fighters from several area agencies tied aprons around their waists and balanced large trays of food Monday for a few hours to help Special Olympics.

Between both the Kenosha and Mount Pleasant Texas Roadhouse locations, over 800 meals of pulled pork sandwiches, french fries, applesauce and a soda. The meal was free, and all tips went directly to support for Special Olympics athletes.
