UPDATE: Sturtevant Armed Robbery Photos Released

Police are still actively seeking the suspect in these pictures from the Nov. 5 hold up of Village Food on Durand Avenue.

Police have released still shots taken from surveillance video of the suspect they say held up the convenience store at

The suspect was brandishing a black handgun when he demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash. Several customers were in the store at the time of incident, but no was injured. They provided this description for officers:

  • black male
  • muscular build
  • 5'7" to 5'9"
  • some facial hair that may have been grey
  • all black clothing, with ski mask, except for grey gloves
  • possibly mid- to late-30s to early 40s
