United Natural Foods Expected to Break Ground in April

Sturtevant's most recent commercial resident is expected to get final site plan approval Thursday at the village's Planning Commission meeting.

, conditional use and sign permits, clearing the way for construction to start.

The Sturtevant Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. at Village Hall.

Once UNFI receives final approval from commission members, plans can move forward for construction on its building at the corner of Highways 11 and H.Β

Sturtevant Village Clerk/Interim Administrator Mary Cole said information she's received indicates the company will break ground in April. Construction is expected to take about a year, and will mean an initial 244 jobs for the area.

Additional Plan Commission agenda items include consideration of conditional permits for All One Self Storage and K & J Health, a potential massage therapy practice.
