Area Police Searching for Credit Card Fraud Suspects

Two women are suspected of using stolen credit cards to try and buy gift cards.

Police are asking the public to keep a look out for two women who, they say, are using stolen credit cards to buy gift cards from area grocery stores.

According to Mount Pleasant police, two female suspects Wednesday visited Piggly Wiggly on Washington Avenue to try and purchase gift cards of $50 and up with stolen credit cards.

Before their stop at The Pig, the women also reportedly went to the Pick 'n' Save on Rapids Drive and two Piggly Wiggly stores on Erie and Durand Avenue, all of which are in the City of Racine. Customer service personnel at those stores denied the suspects service.
