Yes, I do think police departments should be required to get a warrant before collecting your cellRead More phone data. ~ However, in this day police departments are becoming more and more intrusive, with down-streamed, military weapons and snooping equipment. Our laws and legislatures show no concern at all about this type of behavior at all. I would welcome any reasonable suggestions regarding how to fix this, as truly, our elected officials are not listening and do not listen, they rationalize this type of behavior to justify their "war on terror" and claim it is "necessary."

I just wonder if the dog charged the police or they just saw the dog and shot it... I have readRead More that sometimes these pansies will keep shooting a dog, even when the owner is their, the dog is laying on the ground, due to a shot, because the dog aledgedly charged... Now again the dog is down, possibly can be saved by the owner, NO LONGER A THREAT, and the #$&*#$&^ pansy f^&$#*/s keep shooting... Oh, if only ...

The craziest thing happened to me this morning. I was eating breakfast at the counter of a popularRead More south side restaurant when a Milwaukee Police Officer sat down next to me. After about 5 minutes he started talking to me stating that he noticed I was uneasy about him sitting next to me. I stated to him I had never met a good police officer in my life & that they make me uncomfortable. He began to let me know that there really isn't many good cops out here. He told me that when he began his career you start out trying to help people & catch the bad guys but eventually you fall into the routine that your supervisors put you in no matter how you feel you must obey orders. He told me that the police department is not a place for a black man. It is just a check & not a very good one at that. He stated that the white men in the department are like the good ol' boys club & they are extremely racist toward other officers that are not white & they also treat the public the same way. He stated that his supervisors make them report falsely on many suspects to get the job done especially planting evidence in many situations. He hates the way this goes down so he has decided to retire after 25 years of service. This hit me hard knowing that people have always suspected the police of wrongdoing but they have always denied it. He told me many police officers have lied on suspects to get them put in jail for many years. This is routine for the job. You must obey your superiors no matter what or you will be sitting at a desk. I was trippin' at this point. He told me that his supervisors have told him & other officers to treat people in the inner city with disrespect many times & that they treat white people many times with a slap on the wrist even when they are suppose to report the crime. I was like wow this is crazy & why can't you tell the news people about this & he told me he would fear for his life & his families life so he has decided to retire & move far away. By this time he had to go & I wished him a blessed day. When I finished my breakfast I asked for the check & the waitress told me that the police officer had paid for it already. This is one day I will never forget. That is the first time I have actually heard or seen a police officer tell it like it is & do a good deed. Maybe someone can learn from this experience & be more careful around these trigger happy cops.

People have been hiding drugs inside of dogs for years. They probably finally got that informationRead More and shot the dog as a public service. Nice to see our tax dollars for these police finally resulting in some drug dogs being killed. Kids pet these dogs and probably get drugs that way sometimes. These stray drug dogs have taken over small towns in Ohio's southern areas.

Why do these IDIOT Judges keep letting scum like this out of Jail? I think that if a person thatRead More commits a crime as a "repeat offender" it means that the Judge that sentenced them for the 1sty offense did not put them in for long enough! The Judge should be fined and forced to repay all monies that he or she earned while trying that specific case. Maybe then they will think twice before handing out all these 'light sentences' that we keep seeing here in southeast Wisconsin. Somebody is dropping the ball here and the taxpayers and victims are paying for it and it has to stop now!

somehow 88 years doesn't seem like enough to make up for what he did to not just our children but toRead More all of us who trusted him shared our lives with him n grew to love him as our own family all the beatings n rape in the world cant give back what he took from us.

@Cassy - I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Has the DA indicated if you will be allowed toRead More speak at his sentencing?

I saw this dude molest a girl 12 years ago. I never told the police and when it went public I feltRead More terrible because I could have prevented it all. I told the girl's parents and left it up to them because I felt like it was their right.
The case against Curt Johnson, seen here in a Patch file photo, remains on hold until the state Supreme Court makes a decision.

No, he needs to serve time. He has three other young daughters. Wife is unstable to step up andRead More protect, so like with every other level if society then...outside needs to step in. This has nothing to do with wife's belief in God saving him and changing him...this is about being proactive and saving other young women before he roams yet again.
Mary Baker September 27, 2013 at 04:17 pm
You can bet he's roaming already. What a pervert! Walks around with no shame. What's sick is hisRead More wife helping to get him off of charges. Read her blog www.traciestierjohnson.com. Claims her daughter tells her everything. Well if that is so then apparently she knew her daughter was being molested and she did nothing to protect her. They are all a bunch of sickos. SCJ needs to go to prison!
marina lawson September 28, 2013 at 05:19 pm
He'll never do time with his money and background. He'll be declared temporarily sick etc, and go toRead More a nice cosy, very expensive sanitarium, where he will be quietly released after about a month! There are rules for the rich and famous in this country, and rules for the rest of us, I know whom I would like to be , if I committed a heinous crime.

Its obviously a freight when this line is a freight train only line. Union Pacific MilwaukeeRead More Subdivision has no passenger service whatsoever.
Heather Asiyanbi (Editor) September 19, 2013 at 05:45 pm
@Evan - I didn't know that ... and when I spoke with Capt. Smith he was also unsure.
