Are the not yet occurring back room deals you say that will happen next week publicly funded?
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 08:47 pm
@John Feia -
When did Hoffa ever assert that? He didn't. However you did make an affirmative assertion which you've failed to back up which makes you little more than a stooge! Get a life and start thinking for yourself!
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 08:53 pm
@John Feia -
The payroll tax cuts can be extended if you allowed people to opt out of Medicare and SS, which is a part of the GOP plan/philosophy. The investment component of SS is nothing but a fraud anyway. The money in the SS fund doesn't make any money for the people paying into and benefiting from the program - it merely taxes people even more under a different name, the federal income tax. Wake up and start thinking for yourself!
John Feia September 1, 2012 at 08:57 pm
Start thinking for myself? I'm not the one who refers to myself as a pseudonym in a third person manner. I actually put my real name out there attached to my comments. I'm curious as to what unconfirmed assertion it is that I made. I have noticed that you do make some well thought out points but name calling really diminishes them.
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 09:01 pm
@John Feia -
Hoffa asked you to provide the link showing that the yacht excursion you speak of was publicly funded, as you previously asserted, and you failed to do so and instead asked me a question. I'll give you one more chance. Please provide the link showing that the yacht excursion you speak of was publicly funded.
John Feia September 1, 2012 at 09:03 pm
Think for yourself? Again? You need a new line. Look at the recent history. That wasn't the GOP's position when the debate for extension of the cuts were happening.
GearHead September 1, 2012 at 09:06 pm
@ Randy: Us concervative-types are a pretty happy gang. But for mean spiritedness, tune into the Democrat convention. This should help clear up your confusion.
GearHead September 1, 2012 at 09:09 pm
@ John: Where was your outrage over 8 years of "comics" wanting to assasinate GW? Hippocrate!
GearHead September 1, 2012 at 09:11 pm
@Lyle: actually Nobama is just trying to out-bigot Schmitz, a challenge in itself.
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 09:12 pm
@John Feia -
Hoffa thinks for himself - not what the GOP tells him to think!
John Feia September 1, 2012 at 09:21 pm
@Hoffa
I never said it was. Here are my posts on this topic that prompted you to call me a stooge: 1."Like a Yacht commissioned in the Cayman Islands filled with 500K & up donors?" 2." It was your choice of words: "Yup, those Dems love their closed doors smoke filled back rooms where they come up with their plans to destroy America for the good of all to benefit their select special interests." that directly relate to my yacht comment. How does an Alice in Wonderland party correlate here? If you want to talk wasteful dollars, how much does it cost to go skinny dipping in the Sea of Galilee while on a strictly partisan "informational" trip?" 3. "Neither, they were both unacceptable. My point to Hoffa was meant to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. He spoke of potential back room deals at the up coming DNC and I spoke of a yacht excursion for donors at the RNC. To which he responded to with the cost of a White House function. The skinny dipping is irrelevant, the cost of a publicly fund partisan trip is." 4.Are the not yet occurring back room deals you say that will happen next week publicly funded? Can you point out where I asserted that the yacht excursion was publicly funded? I'm kind of embarrassed that I am responding to your "last chance" ultimatum but sometimes it is necessary to defend comments that I attach to my "real" name. This is getting a little too juvenile for me...
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 09:37 pm
@John Feia -
And where did Hoffa ever assert that such meetings were publicly funded? But you did affirmatively assert that that the yacht excursion was publicly funded. Please provide your proof - or admit that you were LYING about this. The point is that Hoffa doesn't care how the Repubs or the Dems spend their own money and time, but find the Dems use of their time and money under such circumstances as described in JB's link as being dubious. What Hoffa does have a problem with is Obama spending our money, during the height of the Great Recession, to throw himself a luxury party at the WH! It shows that not only is Obama out of touch with reality, but that he also has no regard in how he spends our money on himself! He has proven to be a poor steward of our dollars and as someone that make poor decisions because, quite frankly - he just doesn't care! Otherwise, he would have apologized for the party.
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 09:50 pm
@John Feia -
"the cost of a publicly fund partisan trip is." Hoffa thought that you were referring to the yacht excursion with the quoted passage. However, Hoffa now realizes that you were just misinformed about Yoder - probably because you limit your resources to the Daily Kos and MSNBC. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/she-the-people/post/yoder-apologizes-for-skinny-dipping/2012/08/20/a295067c-eaea-11e1-866f-60a00f604425_blog.html "Last August, he went skinny-dipping in the Sea of Galilee while on a private fact-finding tour sponsored by the American Israel Education Foundation." Last Hoffa checked, the AIEF is not funded by the federal government. Hoffa thought that you were aware of this FACT, and thus presumed that such quoted passage must have been in reference to the yacht excursion. Sorry, but Hoffa was thrown off by the mis-information that you attempted to peddle. Next time, please get your facts straight and such confusion can be avoided!
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 09:56 pm
BTW - Perhaps if you admit that you were wrong about the funding involved in Yoder's trip, it would go a long way as far as respect and credibility on these boards go!
Just trying to help you out!
John Feia September 1, 2012 at 10:43 pm
Thanks for your help... I may have been misinformed about the funding source of the AIEF but if you try and say that there were no government expenditures involved with this trip you are fooling yourself.
Never the less the only reason I brought it up was because of you strangely bringing up a White House Halloween party that was totally unrelated to the topic of comparing back room meetings by both parties. You like to spew out to anyone who has a differing opinion than yours to think for themselves, I do think for myself. I don't need to cite an alter ego to state my opinion. My opinion is what is is and is based on so much more than I believe you can fathom. The last thing I am looking to do is gain respect and credibility from a person whose lack of respect for others demeans his own credibility. I'm really not interested in what Hoffa will say Hoffa thinks about this.
Mike Knight September 1, 2012 at 10:52 pm
Fake liberal hope and change ready to fool more of the masses. Too bad the liberal voters don't realize that the Democrats are corporatist frauds just as the Republican are. However the Democrats are generally three times as destructive so going with the Republicans is the lesser of two evils. They should be voting for a real liberal party like the Green Party just as the conservatives should be voting for Libertarians or Constitution Party candidates.

Chief Foley, "I did not have sexual relations with that women." or my favorite and yours "could you define the word is?" You gotta love Bubba....
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 11:29 pm
@John Feia -
"I may have been misinformed about the funding source of the AIEF but if you try and say that there were no government expenditures involved with this trip you are fooling yourself." Hoffa prefers to work off facts as opposed to mere speculation, supposition, and conjecture, so if you could kindly provide a link, that would be great! Looks like someone was upset because they were wrong! But hey, if you want to compare back room meetings, then let's do so! Was the yacht excursion segregated by age, race, nationality, ethnicity, etc, like the Dem back room meeting is schedule to be according to JB's link?
James R Hoffa September 1, 2012 at 11:31 pm
@Mike Knight -
You're absolutely right. It's unfortunate that more people don't see it that way.

@ J. B. Schmidt
Divide and conquer is the plan. But minorities and everyone else they put in separate rooms surely cant be excited to unite and support the failures and false promises of Obama's 4 years. I think Obama has only 2 minorites in his entire cabinet. That's hardly an endorsement of any true belief in minorities he would rather control than give them the opportunities to grow. Sad but True .

Youth unemployment remains high, with 18-24 year olds facing unemployment over 15%. In a poll conducted by Crossroads Generation of 800 registered voters aged 18-29, only 22% said that they thought Obama had put into place policies that have made it easier for young people to find jobs. @Hoffa
You once again avoid the point and purpose of my post. Not surprising but at least you are consistent.
John Feia September 3, 2012 at 08:19 pm
@Hoffa
"After the ratings juggernaut that was the RNC," Here is your juggernaut statistics: "All told, just over 20 million people were watching last night on the Nielsen-rated networks, compared to 37 million for night two of the RNC in 2008. Night one of the 2012 RNC was roughly on par with night one of the 2008 RNC ratings-wise, making the gap all the more dramatic." http://thepoliticalcarnival.net/2012/08/30/quickie-tv-ratings-for-rnc-convention-networks-lose-17-million-viewers-vs-2008/ Nice fact based analysis on your part...
James R Hoffa September 3, 2012 at 10:23 pm
@ John Feia -
TV viewership in general is down, something that your linked analysis doesn't mention a word about. Let's wait to compare to the DNC convention ratings number, shall we? A current Yahoo! poll shows that nearly 70% of respondents do not plan to watch any of the DNC convention. I predict ultra low ratings numbers, that in comparison to the RNC numbers, will prove the RNC convention to be the true juggernaut of the two conventions.
James R Hoffa September 3, 2012 at 10:30 pm
@John Feia -
You mentioned a yacht excursion, that in all reality was a campaign/fund raising function as opposed to being an official part of the RNC convention, in comparison to discriminatory caucuses scheduled to take place as an official part of the upcoming DNC convention. You're right - I don't see the point that your trying to make because you're comparing apples to oranges. Obama also has exclusive closed doors campaign fund raising functions - like his little dinner parties with George Clooney, Wall Street money men, etc. The fact of the matter is that you can't compare apples to apples in this instance because the GOP did not do anything like what the discriminating/segregating Dems are about to do in Charlotte! Message from the GOP - we are all ONE country! Message from the Dems - we discriminate/segregate people by race, age, ethnicity, gender, etc. The messages are clear.

lil' boy Mikey Tate and his sidekick Gramey Zee are the gifts that keep on giving.

Rees; When the Sacred village Board cloaked the building of a new Village hall for over $17 million,Read More it was brought to there attention to build TWO new fire stations. One south, one north. Instead they built the Taj Mahal and a distance fire station. Maybe the two remaining Trustees could orate their decision for the residents.
