Win a Ride-Along With a State Trooper by Reading This Summer

Kids 10 and under will be entered into a drawing to win a ride-along with a state trooper when they finish reading 10 or more books.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) wants to motivate children age 10 and under to take part in the department’s statewide reading challenge. Participants must read 10 books with a transportation-related theme.

Once the challenge has been met, with the help of a parent or guardian, participants need to complete the Transportation Reading Challenge form, available on WisDOT’s web site, and submit it to the department’s Office of Public Affairs.

All children who read 10 books will receive a small gift for their accomplishment and will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a ride-along with a state trooper. WisDOT’s summer reading challenge starts Wednesday, June 13 and ends on Friday, August 31. The winner will be notified by Wednesday, September 5.
