Case vs. Park: Intra-City Rivalry and Military Appreciation Day

Case and Park are pretty evenly matched going into Friday's game. It's also Military Appreciation Day.

When the Case Eagles take on the Park Panthers Friday night at Hammes Field, both teams come to the field with an 0-3 record so far this season.

This intra-city rivalry is decades long, and, overall, Park leads with a record of 37-7.

Spectators will see a sharp rushing game from Park (616 yard so far this season), and a domineering defense led by veteran linebackers, according to a story from The Journal Times.

During half-time, cheerleaders from both teams will perform on the field separately at first and then together.

Friday is also Military Appreciation Day so anyone with a military ID will get in for free. Members from all branches of the military will be present, and members of the Class of 2013 who have committed to serving in the armed forces will be honored during a pre-game ceremony.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Hammes Field at Case High School, 7345 Washington Avenue. Admission without a military ID is $5 adults; $4 students; and $3 for senior citizens (age 60+) and children (age 6 and under).
