How nice of RUSD to change start times every two years. :( I'm sure that's convenient for working parents! Already a failing school district, but they think it's wise to have most elementary students start at 7 to 7:30 then when they move to middle school, they don't have to be there until 8:30. And then when they start High School, not only do they have to adjust to the whole high school thing, but they now get bounced back to the 7 to 7:30 start time... Nothing like consistency with the RUSD school board. :(

Not positive but they are often adjusted to accommodate bus schedules (to save money and kids' time spent on busses). Don't know the details but a call to the school district office might clarify things. By the way, studies prove that high school kids should start late and elementary kids early. Hormones and such :-) Unfortunately, busses not only drive kids to school. They also drive schedules. That, and high school after-school activities.
