Seven Racine Unified School Board Candidates Force Primary

Residents will narrow the field on Feb. 21.

Seven candidates have filed for three school board seats, and that means we're having a primary.

Nomination packets were due by 5 pm today, Jan. 3, 2012.

Residents of the Racine Unified School District will go to the polls on Feb. 21 to narrow the field down to six for the April 3 general election.

Three incumbents - Don Nielsen, Gretchen Warner and Kim Plache - have turned in their packets. They will face off against former board members Brian Dey and Roger Pfost as well Kevin Cronin and Scott Brownell.
