Red Carpet Tickets Still Available for Post Prom

Family and friends can still purchase tickets for red carpet seats Saturday.

Good news: tickets are still available for red carpet arrivals at Racine Rotary's annual post-prom celebration Saturday, "Enchantment Under the Sea."

Laura DeGroot is this year's event chair, and she told Patch Thursday that family and friends can still purchase tickets online before the event for $8 or Saturday at Festival Hall for $10.

"We do still have seating available and we also have room for behind-the scenes tours of the hall," she said.

Tours also come with a commemorative stadium cushion ticketholders can use to save their seats while they're on the tour. Ticket prices before Saturday for this package are $23 or $25 at the door.

Rotary members will lead groups through Festival Hall at 7 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m., and 8 p.m. Tours will complete before the first group of students arrives at 8:30 p.m. from Union Grove.

Post prom red carpet arrivals will be broadcast live this year with returning host Gary Valencourt. DeGroot confirmed CAR25 will carry the broadcast, but arrivals will also be streamed live at http://avamediatv.com/about-racine-13.html.

"We know there are people who don't have Time Warner Cable and carrying the red carpet arrivals online with live streaming means family members can participate no matter where they live," she said. "Post prom is a tradition here even for those who may have moved away."

The red carpet arrivals will be broadcast in their entirety, DeGroot added.

"Yes, we will keep the cameras rolling until the last school has finished arriving," she said.
