'Les Mis' at Case Hits All the Right Notes

The Racine Unified summer musical is "Les Miserables," and the students who tackle these challenging songs are nothing less than amazing. "Bravo" to the orchestra as well.

The cast of "Les Miserables" at Case High School this summer is nothing short of amazing.

Students from throughout the Racine Unified district, as well as Union Grove, tackle the challenging songs and roles like professionals. While we didn't stay for the entire dress rehearsal - can't get too spoiled - we did capture some of what awaits audiences.

Elizabeth Steege, teacher and choir director at Case, directs the show, and the members of the orchestra should be applauded as well.

The most popular characters are being played and sung by:

  • Fantine: Rylie Armantrout
  • Javert: Dillan Sauder
  • Valjean: Jake Glidden
  • Marius: Ryan Andersen
  • Cosette: Valerie Wilk
  • Enjolras: Jason Martin
  • Eponine: Tabetha Steege
All performances take place at Case High School, 7345 Washington Avenue. Tickets are $8 general admission and $6 seniors and students. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
