Free School Choice Open House for Parents

This Saturday, Feb. 11, parents can take advantage of a unique opportunity to meet with representatives from local quality schools participating in the Racine Parental Private School Choice Program (PPSCD) from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the DeKoven Center. The school choice open house will allow parents to learn more about the program’s eligibility criteria, including residential and income guidelines, and explore and evaluate available school options.

Support staff also will be available to help families apply for the program on site, as the first open enrollment period began on Feb. 1 and extends through Feb. 20.

Why attend? A parent of a RUSD student, Lisa Cervantes, has said the Racine school choice program has changed her and her son’s lives, providing her with the opportunity to choose the best school for her son – a choice she says she wouldn’t have had as a single parent.
