10 File for 3 Seats on Racine Unified School Board

Two of three incumbents are interested in keeping their seats on the Racine Unified School District's Board of Education.

It's official; we have contested races for three open seats on the Racine Unified School District's Board of Education.

District spokesperson Stacy Tapp confirmed with Patch Thursday that 10 RUSD residents have turned in the necessary paperwork to run for the Board. Sue Kutz, Julie McKenna and Chris Eperjesy are all up for re-election.

Of the three incumbents, Kutz was the only Board member to not seek re-election. She has been on the Board since 2004.

Having such a full field of candidates means district residents will choose the top six vote-getters in a primary sometime in February. The general election is Tues., April 2.
