'Skamper' with Skeletons and Other Halloween Fun

This Halloween weekend is crammed with activities in Racine County. Check out a few of our picks.

Everywhere you turn, there's a pumpkin, a ghost, a black cat and activities in Racine County. It must be Halloween weekend!

Here are a few of our weekend picks:

Start with a run or a walk.  Real Racine Skeleton Skamper - Southeastern Wisconsin's ONLY costumed race is Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Village of Mount Pleasant Civic Campus. Choose from a timed half-marathon at 8:30 a.m., a 5k run/walk at 9 a.m. or the Ruud Lighting Trick-or-Treat Walk at 10 a.m. Online registration has ended but you can still register at the race site on Saturday. After the races, stick around for DJ entertainment, a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, the Eastbay sports apparel portable showroom, displays form local organizations and more. Because construction activity prevents parking at the village campus, please park at Ruud Lighting, 9201 Washington Ave. Shuttles will run to and from the start/finish area every 10 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
