There's something for everybody in Racine County this weekend

There's a little something for everybody in Racine County this weekend. We hope you'll get out and enjoy yourselves.

Here are four weekend picks:

Sailing, sailing: The Denis Sullivan, a beautiful replica of a Great Lakes schooner arrives for a weekend visit between 3 and 4 p.m. today (Aug. 18). The ship will be docked at Reefpoint Marina. The Sullivan will sail for middle and high school students on Friday morning, Aug. 19. There will be two public sails on Friday afternoon and three more public sales on Saturday, Aug 20. The price is $40 adults; $35 kids. Deck tours will be offered at $5 per person from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 20.

Walking or running: The annual Iron Horse 5K Run/Walk is Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Sturtevant Fire Department park, 9698 Charles St., Sturtevant. Registration is at 7 a.m. and the event kicks off at 8 a.m. Medals will be awarded in individual and team divisions.  Race packets are available for early pick up from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the park.

Art of motorcycles: Art Venture! for August highlights the beauty of motorcycles. At least 20 vintage bikes will be on display from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 on Monument Square in Downtown Racine. In addition, there will be gallery exhibits, artist demonstrations and live music all over downtown. The Racine Art Museum will also be open. It's all free.

Bikes and cars:  Continuing that theme, the 16th Annual Classic Car and Bike Show  starts at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 at the Racine Zoo. This is one of the area’s biggest displays of classic cars and motorcycles with about 350 vehicles expected. Regular zoo admission fees apply -- $6 adults, $5 seniors, $4 kids ages 3 through 15.
