Here comes the bride.  The latest fashions in wedding gowns and other clothing plus more than 50 exhibitors to help plan that perfect wedding. It's the 24th Annual Bridal Extravaganza from noon to 4 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26-27 at Festival Hall, 5 Fifth St. WRJN and Lite Rock 92.1 host this two days of everything wedding, including catering, entertainment, photography, hair styling, cakes, flowers, travel and more. Rockin' for a cause.  Catch four great area bands and help the All Saints Cancer Unit at Jammin' for Cancer from 1-6 p.m. Sunday at the Eagles Club, 319 Hamilton St. (corner of Main and Hamilton.) The Docksters, Full Flavor, Mean Jake and Zicomatic are on the bill. Admission at the door is just $5. There is also food, raffles and a silent auction.

Catch a comedy.  "A Night at the Nutcracker" continues at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave.. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday. This comedy musical is described as a zany Marx Brothers-style farce. Call the Theatre Guild box office at 262-633-4218 or visit www.racinetheatre.org for tickets.

Take a spin.  Head to Burlington's Spinning Top Museum on Saturday or Sunday afternoon for Super Top Gyroscopes. This is a hands-on presentation of how gyroscopes and tops work. Tickets are $15. The museum is in downtown Burlington at 533 Milwaukee Ave. Details at www.topmuseum.org or call 262-763-3946.

Coming soon!  The 2013 Snowdance 10 Minute Comedy Festival is just a week away. On weekends, from Feb. 1 through March 3, the Over Our Head Players present 10 original short comedy productions at the Sixth Street Theatre, 318 Sixth St. The audience is invited to vote on their favorite. After the votes are tallied in March, the writers of the top three audience favorites receive cash prizes. This year, 145 scripts were entered by playwrights from 29 states and four countries. Instead they built the Taj Mahal and a distance fire station. Maybe the two remaining Trustees could orate their decision for the residents.

Mt Pleasant is in need of competent people ! Who would of built the new headquarter on 90th St ?Read More Wouldn't of it made sense to build by the Fire Department on HWY 31 ? Would of made sense you would of at least met the village taxpayer half way ! Oh another thing I noticed Chief Police do your patrol officers think its cool with there phone in there hand while driving its very obvious there not talking business ! If any one gets hit by a patrol car make sure they receive a ticket for inattentive driving !
