Watch out!!  Watch out for dodgeball, that is. The Young Professionals of Racine Annual Dodgeball Tournament is an action-packed event that helps raise scholarship money. The tournament runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 at Razor Sharp Fitness, 7300 Washington Ave. The cost is $10 for members; $15 for nonmembers. A red hot night. It’s time again for the Red-Hot Valentine’s Gala, a fund-raiser for Racine Lutheran High School on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Roma Lodge, 7130 Spring St. The evening begins with a reception, jazz band performance and silent auction at 5 p.m. That’s followed by a great Italian dinner, a voice auction and dancing with Chicago’s Nightshift Orchestra. Catch some beads!  A party night is in store in Downtown Racine with the 9th Annual Mardi Crawl starting at 8 p.m. Saturday. Just $3 buys a shuttle bus ride among 15 bars and restaurants until 2:30 a.m. If you visit at least six establishments, you’ll be entered in the grand prize drawing to be held on Fat Tuesday (Feb. 21) at the Ivanhoe Pub & Eatery.

Something for the kids.  A high-energy live show “Furry Tails With a Twist” continues on Saturdays through March 17 at Apple Holler, 5006 S. Sylvania Ave. in Yorkville. Performances are at 10 a.m. Tickets are $7 per person and includes a pancake breakfast, a train ride and a photo opportunity with the costumed cast. Reservations are required. Call 262-886-8500.

Just two more weeks!  Time is running out to see the 2012 Snowdance 10 Minute Comedy Festival. The Over Our Head Players are presenting this collection of short, original comedies Thursday through Sunday and again next weekend, Feb. 23-26 at the Sixth Street Theatre, 318 Sixth St. At each performance, audience members can vote for their favorite play. The playwrights receiving the most votes at the end of the festival will be awarded cash prizes. These popular shows often sell out, so don’t wait. Call 262-632-6802 for tickets.
