The Christmas holiday season is already here!  Santa Claus arrives in Racine County this weekend along with art, music and other activities. Here are a few ideas from Real Racine.

Love a parade.  Head to Downtown Racine for the annual Holiday Parade at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. The parade route runs from Main and State streets to Sixth Street and ends at City Hall. You'll see bands, floats, dancers, live reindeer and even Santa Claus himself. You can even bring your letters for hand delivery to Santa. Book donations will accepted for Cops 'n Kids and the Salvation Army bell ringers will kick off their annual campaign. After the parade, stick around for lighting the 45-foot tall Community Christmas Tree at Monument Square. Visit www.racinedowntown.com

Santa's debut.  Santa Claus arrives at Regency Mall, 5538 Durand Ave., at 10 a.m. Saturday. Santa and his elves can be found at the mall's center court near Boston Store every day through Dec. 24 for pictures. Click HERE for Santa's schedule.

New art.  This weekend is great time to catch some new art in Downtown Racine. The Muses of Mirth, a group of area women artists, have a new exhibit at the Racine Arts Council's ArtSpace Gallery, 316 Sixth Ave. through Dec. 22. Their art includes paintings on canvas, ceramics, jewelry, lamps and wearable silk art. The artists are Bobby Childers, Terry Evans, Monne Haug, Mary Mollerskov and Jurga Petkus. ArtSpace Gallery is open 12-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The Racine Art Museum (RAM), 441 Main St., has a new show featuring artwork created with glass. The exhibit, featuring the work of more than 20 artists, is called "Cutting Edge: RAM Explores Contemporary Glass Jewelry."  Visit www.ramart.org

Penguins perform.  The Penguin Players fall cabaret "The Joint is Jumpin'," continues this weekend at the Eagles Club, Main and Hamilton streets. There's singing, dancing and comedy by a local cast. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8 in advance and $9 at the door.
