Your Chance to Ask Candidates About Key Issues Facing Community

The Racine Unified School Board and the next village president in Sturtevant will tackle numerous key issues in 2013. Patch is asking our readers to pose some questions for candidates who are running in both elections.

Don't look now, but there's another election just around the corner.

Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant voters on Feb. 19 will head to polls to cast ballot in primary races for the Racine Unified School District Board of Education. Ten people are running for three seats on the School Board, and six of them will advance to the April 2 general election.

In addition, Sturtevant voters will narrow the field of candidates for village president from three to two in the primary.

Patch will be there every step of the way as we cover both races, but this time around, we are going to have our readers get more involved in our coverage of the campaign. And we're starting by asking you to help us formulate questions for the candidates.

Patch will soon contact the candidates to get biographical information as well as their views on the issues facing the school district and the village. But we don't want to be the only ones posing the questions; we want to hear what's on your mind as well.
