Mount Pleasant Approves New One-Year Contract for Police Administrative Staff

The tentative agreement will go back to the union for ratification before going into effect.

The Mount Pleasant Village Board unanimously voted to ratify a tentative agreement with the police support employees who belong to the Wisconsin Professional Police Association.

Now it will go back to the union for approval before it goes into effect. The contract affects four clerical support positions and is for a period of one year.

According to Police Chief Tim Zarzecki, the staff members will not experience salary or benefits reductions at this time, but the state budget could ultimately affect those numbers.
