Mount Pleasant Police are searching for a 21-year-old Racine man accused of holding a gun to a woman's head and threatening to kill her.
A warrant was issued early Thursday morning for Kevantae Oliver after he fled the scene, leaving behind a hand gun he reportedly stole in another incident from Kankakee, IL.
According to a written statement from MPPD, officers were called by a neighbor at 4:22 a.m. Wednesday to a home in the 1300 block of Oakes Road for reports of a man and woman fighting. While police were arriving on scene, a woman called 911 and said she had been beaten and that the man she was with held a gun to her head and threatened to kill her.

Officers made a tactical entry to the home and located the victim and a .45 handgun, but the man - later identified as Oliver- had already fled. A run of the gun's serial number turned up a report from Kankakee, IL, where it had been stolen in a burglary. Police also say they discovered Oliver was on parole supervision.
Mount Pleasant referred charges of reckless endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a felon, receiving stolen property, battery/domestic abuse, and disorderly conduct/domestic abuse to the Racine County District Attorney.
