Third Juvenile Burglary Suspect Caught, Allegedly Confesses to Crimes

Caledonia Police announced today that a third juvenile burglary suspect was apprehended today at his home in Racine. Police say the 16-year-old admitted to committing several burglaries in Caledonia and Mount Pleasant.

Caledonia Police have confirmed that a third juvenile burglary suspect is behind bars. He also reportedly admitted to break-ins in Caledonia and Mount Pleasant.

Sargeant Brian Wall of the CPD told Patch Wednesday that a 16-year-old Racine boy was apprehended at his home. Officers located him in the course of their investigation.

"This boy's name came up as we looked into things," he said. "The route our investigation took pointed to this third suspect."

Wall confirmed the boy allegedly admitted to committing several crimes in the and Mount Pleasant.

As for how Wall got the suspect to supposedly come clean, Wall said it was pretty simple.

"I asked and he told me," he said.

News of this third suspect's arrest was first announced on Racine Uncovered.

Caledonia Police released the information two days after this boy and his accomplices, a 1 on Monday. The younger teens led police on a foot chase east on Highway 38 and then north along the Root River.

One of them was caught near the river at Highways 30 and MM while the second was found in a garage in the neighborhood off of Highway 31 and Johnson Drive.

Wall said the younger suspects had their initial appearance today, and the 16-year-old will have his tomorrow. The older boy remains at the Racine County Juvenile Detention Center.
