Sturtevant Bar Robbed Twice in Two Weeks, Dogs left in Cars

Sturtevant Police say someone broke into the Hiawatha on two different days, including an expensive bottle of tequila and free drink tokens.

Someone out there is drinking well after breaking into a Sturtevant bar twice to steal an expensive bottle of alcohol and free drink tokens, among other things.

Sturtevant Police say they are looking for the suspect or suspects who broke into the Hiawatha on July 18 and got away with a 60-inch flat screen television and a $50 bottle of tequila. The bar's five video gaming machines were also pried open, but details of whether or not any money was taken have not been released.

The bar was again burglarized on July 29. This time, the thief or thieves got away with a 36-inch TV, $57 in cash and several free drink tokens.

If anyone has any information about these crimes, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip by calling 1-888-636-9330, email: http://racine.crimestoppersweb.com, or text message: RACS to 274637 (CRIMES). Tips that lead to arrest could mean up to $1,000.

In other police news, pet owners, listen up: Do not leave your dog in your car even on nice days with the windows cracked.

Sturtevant Police took reports on July 18 and Aug. 1 of dogs left in locked vehicles, and officers want to remind pet parents that serious brain damage and death only take minutes when the sun is shining.

"Our department would like to remind dog owners that death or brain damage can occur within minutes during even cooler weather with the windows partially open," said Chief Sean Marschke.

Rees; When the Sacred village Board cloaked the building of a new Village hall for over $17 million,Read More it was brought to there attention to build TWO new fire stations. One south, one north. Instead they built the Taj Mahal and a distance fire station. Maybe the two remaining Trustees could orate their decision for the residents.
