South Shore Responds to Active Fire on Spring Street

The South Shore and Caledonia fire departments responded Wednesday afternoon to a fire in the 11000 Spring Street.

**Updated 4:45 p.m.

The South Shore and Caledonia fire departments are responding to an active fire in the 11000 block of Spring Street.

Our friends at Racine Uncovered are reporting that at about 1:30 p.m.Β calls to 911 indicated a grass fire spread quickly to the house and garage.

SSFD Battalion Chief Jon Keiser said the fire does not appear to be suspicious, according to a story in The Journal Times. The person who started the brush fire could get cited, Mount Pleasant Sgt. Shawn Lueke told the newspaper.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries.
