Sexual Assault at Mount Pleasant Motel
Police say they have a suspect in custody for allegedly assaulting a woman.
Mount Pleasant Police were called to the Knights Inn early Wednesday morning for a report of a sexual assault.
According to a written release from MPPD, when officers arrived, they found a young woman who said her friend sexually assaulted her in a room at the motel.
South Shore Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary's. She was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
