At 12:22 a.m. Nov. 15, Wilder went to with Kenyana Morris, 33, where Morris jumped over the counter and pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money. The employee gave him $135 in $5 bills, $101 in $1 bills and rolls of coins.

Morris reportedly then pointed the gun into the small of the victim’s back and demanded he open the safe. The employee said he didn’t have the key, but Morris told him he would kill him if he didn’t hand over the key.

Eventually he made the victim get on the floor facing down, and Morris then took the victim’s car keys and fled.

A short time later, a Racine County sheriff’s deputy assisting in the investigation at the scene saw a car brake hard in front of the hotel, then do a quick u-turn and speed away from the scene. The deputy pulled over the car, which was being driven by Morris.

Inside the car were two hooded sweatshirts and ski masks described by the victim along with a roll of coins. A shoe print recovered on the desk of the hotel matched the shoes Morris was wearing.

Morris told officers he did take part in the robbery but denied being the one to have a gun. He then admitted to jumping the counter, but again denied having a gun.

Morris had made a phone call to the owner of the car he was driving and told the driver he had been with “Jennifer and Mona” at the time of the robbery, which was later determined to be Wilder and her friend.

Wilder is currently being held in Racine County Jail on $10,000 bond. Morris is scheduled to stand trial July 10.
