Sgt. Eric Relich told Patch the resident described the suspect as a white male wearing a black jacket, approximately 20 years old with reddish-blond short hair. Officers searched the area around the home and found what turned out to be a personal item of the suspect.

"The homeowner was home when the intruder gained entry to the residence," Relich said. "The suspect did not take any property from the residence because he got scared off."
