Oak Creek Company Finds Massive Child Porn Stash on Man's Computer

A computer brought into DK Systems had 25 gigabytes worth of child pornography on it, according to a criminal complaint. The computer's owner, a 61-year-old man, now faces 20 felony charges.

A 61-year-old Town of Norway man who brought his computer into an Oak Creek company for repairs is now facing 20 felony charges after the company discovered numerous images of child pornography.

Marcel R. Troutwein was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Wednesday with 20 counts of possession of child pornography. The charges carry a combined maximum sentence of 500 years in prison and $2 million in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Troutwein took his computer to DK Systems, 9555 S. Howell Ave., on July 5 to have work done on it and transfer files to a new computer. Employees called the Oak Creek Police Department after finding child pornography images on the computer. Oak Creek police then contacted the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.

Roughly 35 gigabytes worth of child pornography was on the computer, which included 1,590 images and 211 videos.

Troutwein told investigators he downloaded child pornography to his computer via torrents more than 500 times over a five to six year period. Several days before he took his computer in for service, his system crashed while he was downloading a child porn torrent, Troutwein said.

Troutwein said none of the files were "homemade" and he only downloaded the images out of curiosity. He added that he didn't agree with everything he saw, saying some of the children were pretty young in the files.

He's currently free on a $75,000 signature bond while awaiting trial.

State and Federal law require Police Departments to release all records other than juvenile names, even reports.

Wesley, this is true about the liable issues. I just get so frustrated every time I hear a story like this. Really, I don't know what the answer is, I'm just so glad they found another one of these sickos. Glad to know DK Computer Systems did their job. Think of the poor kids.

It's just amazing what I see happening now. Sometimes so depressing. Seems that we have lost our way morally as a nation because of our "freedom"! I guess it could be that we 're just more exposed now because of the media but it just seems that we , as a nation have never been so delusional as to the way we treat our children and women, as a society. Seeing this stuff everyday really makes me wonder how it'll be five years from now. Oh well????

I would hope it has nothing to do with freedom, because I don't think man was meant to be enslaved.5, 10,20 years from now does make a person wonder. Bring back the 50s, but then again this could of been going on back then also. I wonder how long this could of been going on. Was the movie called,"Spartens", where this was an accepted practice, I think it was. unbelievable!
