Mount Pleasant Teen Robbed on Christmas Day
Police say the suspect got away with about $60.
Police are asking for the public's help to catch the person who stole $60 from a teenager at 1:43 am on Christmas Day.
As the 17-year-old walked in the alley between Racine and Mead Streets toward 22nd Street, he was knocked to the ground. According to a written statement from the Department, the victim was struck on the head from behind and fell to the ground. The suspect took $60 from the teen's pocket and fled the scene.
Police say the victim could not provide a description, and he suffered a laceration to his hand and scrapes to his arm. He was treated at St. Mary's Hospital and released.
