Man Accused of Having Sex with Teen While Giving Her a Ride

A 25-year-old Racine Man is accused of picking up a 15-year-old Mount Pleasant girl, then having sex with her in his car in public.

Davon King was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of child enticement, one count of possession of THC, which is the active ingredient in marijuana, one count of contributing to the delinquency of a child and one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child. If convicted, he faces up to 41 years in prison and $211,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, at 10:59 a.m. Saturday, Mount Pleasant police officers were called to the 3200 block of Coolidge Avenue after someone reported two people having sex inside a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found the girl sitting on King’s lap in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, both of them with their pants down.

The girl told police she was walking home when King asked if she needed a ride. She said she didn’t know King other than seeing him in the neighborhood, but she got in the car anyway. Officer say she told them that she and King smoked marijuana and drove around.

The teen reportedly also told police that King stopped the car, then began to roll another joint and pulled her onto him while having her touch his genitals. She said King never asked how old she was but when she saw the officer, she said King threw her back onto the passenger seat.

Reports indicate that King said he was on his way to buy a Christmas gift for his son when he picked the girl up. He said they had a serious conversation about issues they both were having with their significant others, but the girl came onto him and not the other way around.

King is currently being held in Racine County Jail on $5,000 bond. He will next be in court on Jan. 3 for a preliminary hearing.
