, a woman living in the 400 block of Taylor Harbor was in her condo when she saw several black men walk to the neighboring apartment. She thought they were going to ring the doorbell, but instead, she heard banging and decided to go outside and investigate.

When the woman got outside, she saw the neighbor’s patio door was off the track and broken, so she called police. The woman then saw Quick pull in front of the garage of the apartment in a purple convertible. Shortly afterwards police pulled up and blocked the car in, with Quick and a male juvenile still inside.

The men who broke in to the apartment tried to flee by jumping out of windows and running, but officers gave chase. They arrested Howard and Cornelious after a short foot pursuit. Cornelious reportedly told police that Howard and McNeal broke into the apartment, then let him in by opening the garage door a short time later.

The woman who lived in the apartment found a necklace, laptop computer and television had all been moved to the garage by the suspects during the burglary. One of the suspects admitted to police they were just getting ready to load up the get-away car when officers arrived.

The suspects are currently being held in Racine County Jail while awaiting trial.
