Facebook Post Makes Best Friends No More
Two JI Case High School girls get into a fracas after one of them takes a Facebook posting personally.
Two JI Case High School students are accused of fighting inside the school after the formerly-best friends got into an altercation about a Facebook posting.
Kiara L. McNaire, 18, and Sirena Nuno-Julius, 17, were charged in Racine County Circuit Court Friday with one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, they each face up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.

At 11:59 a.m. Thursday, a Case school resource officer was near the school’s theater when she saw McNaire and Nuno-Julius fighting each other. The officer tried to separate the two girls, but they continued to fight and injured the officer’s left eye in the scuffle.
Two other officers arrived and helped separate the two girls.

McNaire said she and Nuno-Julius were best friends up until that morning, but she posted on Facebook that she didn’t need any friends. She said Nuno-Julius took the post personally and that started the fight.
Both girls will make their initial appearance in court Jan. 10.
