Disorderly Conduct with a Knife in Mount Pleasant

Police say a man wielded a knife at a local business.

A man who may have thought he was coming to the defense of local business owners the afternoon of July 29 ended up in jail for wielding a knife.

Mount Pleasant Police say they were called for a man brandishing a knife at about 2:45 pm to Sound Decisions in the 1400 block of South Green Bay Road.

When they arrived, they found James Norris, 64, displayed a knife in a threatening manner to two men at the store.

After questioning witnesses on scene, officers were told the two men were in a disagreement with an employee at Sound Decisions. Once the issue was resolved, the customers went outside and were followed by Norris.

He allegedly also exited the store and then displayed the knife in a threatening manner.

Norris was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon. He is being held at the Racine County Jail. Formal charges will be filed.
