Curt Johnson's Wife and Children Moving to North Carolina

Traci Stier-Johnson and her children are moving to North Carolina, according to a story in The Racine Journal Times. Stier-Johnson informed the court in a letter from her lawyer to Racine County District Attorney Michael Nieskes.

Citing the stress caused by the court case involving her husband, billionaire Curt Johnson of the SC Johnson family, Stier-Johnson plans to move in the next few weeks. On May 6, she and Johnson closed on a $3.4 million house in Charlotte, NC. 

Johnson is the son of the late Sam Johnson and one of the heirs to the SC Johnson fortune. Until earlier this year, he was head of Diversey, Inc., in Sturtevant, the commercial cleaning product manufacturer. 

On March 23, Johnson was charged with first degree repeated sexual assault of the same child for having inappropriate contact with a now 15-year-old girl. According to the criminal complaint, Johnson fondled the girl on several occasions and even asked her to have sex with him. The girl refused and said the abuse began when she was in sixth or seventh grade.

On April 13, Johnson entered a not guilty plea. He had a pre-trial hearing on May 20 and has another one scheduled on June 17.

He was released on a $500,000 bond with the conditions that he not leave the state and he surrender his passport.
