Trustee Harry Manning Honored at Board Meeting

The late Harry Manning was honored Monday night by the Mount Pleasant Village Board with a floral tribute and a minute of silence.

Village trustees paid their respects to the late Harry Manning during the village board meeting Monday.

Trustee John Hewitt placed a bud vase with a red rose and ribbon at Manning's place on the dais with the cards from his memorial service clipped to his nameplate.

Outgoing President James Majdoch asked for a minute of silence and then told residents who were present that he wanted them to know how much Manning meant to the community.

"I want the community knows how important Harry Manning was to the board," he said. "Harry was focused on making sure things were done properly, and Mount Pleasant was lucky to have him on the board."
