Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists of Hinsdale Welcomes New Physical Therapist Assistant to the Team; Denise Wiseheart, PTA, Brings Extensive “Core-Stabilizing” Knowledge

Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists of Hinsdale (PTRS Hinsdale), is proud to welcome a new Physical Therapist Assistant to their family of talent in order to better meet patient needs. The addition of Denise Wiseheart, PTA, allows the clinic to extend their hours and offer additional core-stabilizing treatments.

Denise holds over 20 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She received her Associates Degree for Physical Therapist Assistant from Morton Community College. After working in a variety of different settings, she is highly familiar with treating many different conditions, as well as working with patients to meet their personal goals.

Denise is passionate about educating her patients on developing and balancing the muscles in their “core” – the center of the body. By integrating muscle flexibility, strengthening and core stabilizing exercises into treatment, she believes patients will gain noticeable ease of movement, decreased pain and improved postural awareness.  She also feels that strengthening a patient’s core is crucial to maintaining good health, mobility, energy, sense of well-being and pain control. To better meet patients’ needs, Denise recently attended continuing education in Pilates from the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.

Denise is very compassionate about giving back to the community she treats in. When not in the clinic, her outside activities include teaching CPR and First Aid.  And annually, she volunteers as a Family Escort at the Annual National Fallen Firefighters’ Memorial Weekend, which is geared toward honoring firefighters who have died in the Line of Duty by serving their families.

Susan Trchka, PT, Clinic Director and Physical Therapist, is ecstatic to have Denise join the team. “I am excited that Denise comes to us with fabulous ideas and ways to progress our patients through their plans of care [treatment sessions]. She is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and extremely outgoing. She will make a fabulous addition to our team. Welcome, Denise!”
