Racine AAUW - Affordable Healthcare Act

AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE ACT SUBJECT OF OCTOBER RACINE AAUW
MEETING, DEADLINE TO REGISTER SEPTEMBER 
25:

Kevin Kane, Health Organizer for Citizen Action of
Wisconsin, will speak on the Affordable Healthcare Act at the Racine AAUW
meeting on Tuesday, October 2, at the Greek Orthodox Church, 1335 S. Green Bay
Rd., Racine.

Registration will start at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m.
and program at 7:30 p.m.  Reservations
can be made by sending a $15.00 check, made out to Racine AAUW, to Pat Holt, PO
Box 214, Somers, WI 53171.  The deadline
for reservations is September 25. 

While the program can be attended free-of-charge,
reservations are still requested in order to have enough seating.  Call 262-859-3085.

Citizen Action of Wisconsin is an issue-focused coalition
of individuals and organizations committed to achieving social, economic and
environmental justice, according to its website.  The organization has over 42,000 individual
members and 123,000 supporters.

Kane’s background is in community, electoral and issue
organizing and Applied Economics.  He
holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Political Science from Marquette
University and is a former AmeriCorps VISTA and a current fellow at the Center
for Progressive Leadership.
