45 Live Acts on 12 Stages for 1 Good Cause

Get ready to party, Racine! The 20th Annual "Thoughts for Food" is getting ready to rock 'n roll for the Racine County Food Bank.

From the old school to the new, loud, soft and in between, more than 40 bands will hit 12 stages at 11 different venues to raise awareness, money and food to keep the shelves stocked at the Racine County Food Bank.

Advance tickets are available for $10.00 for the 20th annual “Thoughts for Food” fundraiser, to be held on March 3, 2012 for the Racine County Food Bank are now available at George’s Tavern – 1201 N. Main Street, Coasters Pub – 1301 N. Main Street, The Rhino Bar – 1659 N. Main Street and The Ivanhoe Pub and Eatery, 231 Main Street.

The “Thoughts for Food” event takes place in and around Racine’s River North neighborhood and includes 11 venues with 12 stages including: Chartroom Charlie’s - 209 Dodge Street, John’s Dock – 303 Dodge Street, The Eagles Club – 319 Hamilton Street, Redline Tavern – 1200 N. Wisconsin Street, George’s Tavern – 1201 N. Main Street, Coasters Pub – 1301 N. Main Street, Michigan’s Pub – 1300 Michigan Blvd., The Racine Yacht Club – 1 Barker Street, The Rhino Bar – 1659 N. Main Street, the Ivanhoe Pub & Eatery – 231 Main Street and Ricky’s Place – 236 Main Street. Over 45 different acts will perform! In the past 19 years, “Thoughts for Food” has raised over $325,000.00 and over 75,000 pounds of food. The Racine County Food Bank is a United Way Partner Provider that provides free food to hunger fighting organizations across Racine County who, in turn, provide an average of over 75,000 meals each month to Racine County residents in need.
