Budding Authors at Gifford Enter Contest, Could Lead to Published Work

Gifford students work on writing skills and enter an important contest.

For the past eight weeks, two of Gifford’s superior classes have been working hard on writing, editing, and illustrating their own children’s books.

Even though the books were all irresistable, only ten from each class made it into a contest. The Wisconsin Association of School Boards is holding a contest this summer where clever kids from all over Wisconsin can submit their outstanding books to win fabulous prizes.

The books that Gifford is sending in will be some of the best! Soon, you might find some books like Bob and the Alien, The Cookie Crime, Imagination Vacation, Penny and the Mountain Top Adventure, and The Adventures of the Living Snowman in a bookstore near you!

Congratulations to all students in Mrs. Yonkovich, Mrs. Brusky, and Ms. Accola’s Fifth Grade classrooms. Everyone’s a winner!
