Local real estate agent Gordon Bittner was seriously injured in a car vs. motorcycle accident Friday.

**Updated 5:45 p.m. June 9

Mount Pleasant resident and local real estate agent Gordon Bittner was listed in stable condition Saturday after he was seriously injured in an accident Friday afternoon, according to The Journal Times.

Racine police have confirmed that Bittner, 45, was the victim taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital after suffering serious injuries.

At 5:03 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the corner of Spring and Osborne Streets for report of a car vs. motorcycle accident. When police arrived, they discovered the seriously injured driver of the motorcycle - later identified as Bittner - and called for Flight for Life.

"Bittner is being treated for his injuries and is listed in serious but stable condition at this time," RAPD Sgt. Jessie Metoyer said in a press release. "(He) was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash."

Reports indicate a female driver was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chevy Equinox SUV eastbound on Spring when she tried to turn left into the Mobile gas station. She "collided with" Bittner as he traveled west on Spring Street on his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The female driver, 49, also of Mount Pleasant, was not injured. Police have not issued any citations at this time.

Wisconsin State Patrol was called in to assist with reconstructing the scene, but Racine police are interested in speaking with any witnesses who may have seen what happened.
