Officers were called at 12:18 a.m. to the Vintage Rock Café, 3701 Durand Ave., for a report of an unconscious man in the parking lot. When police arrived, they found the victim awake but incoherent and bleeding from his ear, according to RAPD Sgt. Jessie Metoyer.

After rescue transported the man to Wheaton, doctors discovered he had a traumatic brain injury and was in critical condition. Flight for Life was called to take the man to Froedtert for treatment.
