Central Waukesha has hubub of activity to keep family entertained all day.

Historic Downtown Waukesha is in the heart of Waukesha where its residents and visitors play, dance, laugh, shop and dine. Downtown Waukesha is located near the Fox River and Frame Park, where visitors can spend their days riding paddle boats, fishing, playing volleyball, walking, biking or rollerblading on the 1.7-mile riverwalk loop and strolling through the formal gardens in Frame Park. Downtown Waukesha has shops and many dining options, including upscale restaurants, delis, cafes, diners, sloppy joes and more. Specialty shops line the streets, and you can find everything from clocks to pranks and from handbags to fine art.

Where: Downtown Waukesha is located in the heart of Waukesha. Nearly all main roads in Waukesha lead to the central city but West Main Street, West Broadway and North Grand Avenue combine to make the Five Points at the center of Downtown. Find a map of the area here.

When: Hours vary depending on businesses visiting in downtown Waukesha. Boat and bike rentals in Frame Park are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Contact 414-688-0138 to reach the High Roller office.

How much: Prices vary. Frame Park has free admission but the boat rentals vary, so contact 414-688-0138 to reach the High Roller office. Meal prices range depending on the scale of restaurant but there are many places in the downtown area that have dinners under $10.

Special treat: Downtown Waukesha's Freeman Friday Night Live has live music from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fridays through the end of September. The concerts are spread across seven stages in the downtown area.

Many great restaurants with fun hiking and biking through beautiful Frame Park on the Fox River and downtown area. You must have a bag of popcorn from Poppin' on Broadway and chocolate from Allo Chocolat on Main Street!!

Instead they built the Taj Mahal and a distance fire station. Maybe the two remaining Trustees could orate their decision for the residents.

Mt Pleasant is in need of competent people ! Who would of built the new headquarter on 90th St ?Read More Wouldn't of it made sense to build by the Fire Department on HWY 31 ? Would of made sense you would of at least met the village taxpayer half way ! Oh another thing I noticed Chief Police do your patrol officers think its cool with there phone in there hand while driving its very obvious there not talking business ! If any one gets hit by a patrol car make sure they receive a ticket for inattentive driving !
