Walmart To Hire 95 Employees For New Store

Walmart will open its doors this fall and they want to hire 95 people to work at the location on Washington Avenue just west of North Green Bay Road.

Walmart will open its doors this fall and they want to hire 95 people to work at the location on Washington Avenue just west of North Green Bay Road.

The average full-time wage is $12.72 and has benefits including a health insurance, 401(k) program, discounts, and stock purchase program.

Store manager Steve Rozalowsky, said the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates.

“We’re thrilled to bring the first Walmart Neighborhood Market to Mount Pleasant and bring good jobs with great career opportunities to the area,” said Rozalowsky.

The 41,000-square-foot building is a Walmart Neighborhood Market.

“In addition, the store will bring a convenient shopping experience to the residents of Mount Pleasant while offering a variety of grocery options including fresh produce as well as pharmacy services.”

Applications will be accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interested applicants should apply online at http://careers.walmart.com or visit the hiring center to use the online kiosks. 

Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months. Interested veterans may find out more at http://walmartcareerswithamission.com.

The majority of new associates will begin work in September to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
