Inboard Engines on the Line at Bombardier

A new engine line is due to be manufactured in Sturtevant, bringing additional jobs to the facility.

BRP is adding the Rotax inboard propulsion system to its Sturtevant production lines, according to a story in the Milwaukee Business Journal. Evinrude outboard engines were already in production in Sturtevant.

The Rotax engine is currently used in Sea-Doo watercraft. BRP said the new jet system promises an “energetic, thrill-seeking driving experience not available with other propulsion systems.”

There are no new jobs planned at this time, the Business Journal article stated, but the company could add "additional resources" if needed. from an Illinois facility. BRP is the maker of Ski-Doo snowmobiles and Evinrude outboard engines.
